EVENT:
CONCEPTING.
BRANDING.
BUILD.
Talks begun with a lust to return to our adolescent youth; a life spent putting on extravagant parties for friends & family.
Initial concepts revolved around a secret event with a 'plus one’ model of marketing, to help attendees get-away from the monotony of a professional adult life. Creatively this manifested with the notion of a portal to another world; what else do you go to events to other than to escape your day to day?
The portal took the visual form of doors represented in subversive adverts, showing a way in and out of the mystical event space. This narrative continued at the event, where the banquet was hidden for the initial part of the event behind a set of double doors. When opened you had the wow factor of looking down an table laid for 120 people.

normality
The website gave little away; it was just a simple sign up sheet that lured you into the concept. The name, Stowaway:
i) A person who hides aboard a ship or other conveyance in order to obtain passage to a better world.
ii) A space in which passengers come together to celebrate their escape either by daring, wit or skill.
iii) A Clandestine domain concealed in the depths of a wooded area.
One day, I’m sure Stowaway will have a resurgence… and you’ll all be invited.
